First day work tml

Finally the days of me doing nth are over. Seriously it’s making me sick, sitting infront of the computer the whole day, and the idea of not bringing home money might make people think I’m an unfilial son.

Tomorrow is my first day of work and I’m both stressed and excited. I can’t wait to see my work place because it’s seems awesome to me, but again the environment seems too stressful.

Formal wear looks nice but once you sweat, it’s a gone case.

And tonight gonna be the earliest night I’m turning in since the last 2 months. Good night world and God bless my day tomorrow.

Lucky boy

I was waiting for bus to my friend’s birthday party and realize that I have forgotten to take the invitation which has the lucky draw ticket on it. So i went back home to take it and sweat like hell.

And I would never thought I won the first prize.

Thanks Keli for the invitation, if not I wouldn’t have the chance to participate at all. =)

it’s just another Monday

As expected, the first Monday after ORD is like just any other day on leave. But I can’t go out because I need to control my spending.

And my next pay will be probably in Dec. I’m so going to eat grass till then.

ORD LOH

Made a good clique in Chong Pang

Lunch with my technician training school mates today, and man we miss those days in the training school. Lots of story telling and catching up done today, and we might be going for steamboat again next week. Hopefully more people will turn up man.
I was actually able to collect my IC at 10:xx am, but because of an unforeseen circumstance, I got mine at 430pm. What the heck. Yes, I’m emo thru the lunch but that didn’t really deepen the mood.
A few years back, I picked up an army phone in a cab and i return to the owner. Today, i drop mine at Chong Pang and the person who picked it up returned to me.
And now I believe in what goes around comes around.

On the same day 2 years ago, I chill out with friends for the last day of my civilian life.
On the same day 2 years ago, I worried that I might not bring enough stuff to Tekong.
On the same day 2 years ago, I was blogging about how sad is it to enter army.
And on the same day 2 years ago, I am not what I am used to be.

These 2 years hasn’t been a smooth sailing for me, but it’s by God’s grace that I manage to pull it through.

Great camp, great friends I have made these 2 years, and the experience and memories that I have gotten these 2 years ain’t something that I can get however rich I am.

And of cause, there are a lot of people that played a part in my life. Especially my mother, who wake me up and prepare breakfast for me since the day I was posted as a technician. She sew my ranks on my old coverall and no.4, she iron my clothes, wash my dirty coveralls and no.4.

Though these things can be done by a maid too, but there is something that makes a big difference; and that is Love.

And those who so kindly fork out their time to accompany to late night phone chats when I was in Tekong and doing duty; Qiqin, Huiman, Michelle. Though you might not see this, but still I would like to thank you because you could use the time for something else instead of listening to my nonsense.

And those in camp mates, be it NSFs or regulars. I have learnt a lot indeed and that boost my knowledge quite a lot. When i was packing my bunk, I was literally feel sad that I will be stepping into it for the last time.

And to Chanel, being a counselor is something that I would never thought of. You appeared and wanted me to do the job, so if there’s any problem just approach me, be it by air, sea, land or sms. HAHA

And lastly, my eye candy from Yishun JC. You made my day with your smile, though I didn’t really manage to get your number but if you happen to see this entry, MESSAGE ME AT 93391988!! (Omgosh, what the heck.)

It’s here finally, ORD loh!

ORD mood is just a temporary happiness that comes when your ORD date is nearing, and that will die off when it’s over after getting your pink IC.

RSAF ORD souvenir

I was actually going back to settle some stuffs but there was a farewell function for some posting out personnel. And as an ORD personnel, I was slotted into the function as well.

Sweet sweet plaque.

Oh ya, job interview tomorrow early in the morning. Wish me luck man. =)

Peace yo~

2 more days left to ORD.

And I’m left with 2 signatures before i can ORD peacefully. ohmytian

Small little things we neglect in life

There are a lot of small little things in life that we neglect, because they pose of little importance. And of cause I am not talking about ” taking someone of granted, treat them well before they are gone” or what so ever message here. I’m talking about,

Water Bottle.

These are the few types of people around (could be more, but I’m touching more on these 4):

  1. You own a reusable plastic sports water bottle.
  2. You buy a mineral bottle of the selves from stores and reuse them for months. (or perhaps years?)
  3. You own a stainless steel water bottle.
  4. You do not own any water bottles (I don’t know how are you getting your daily source of water.

For the first 2 groups of people, I can tell you that the water you are drinking from is generally not safe. (I’ll tell you why soon)People from group 3, kudos to you because your bottle won’t leech harmful chemical and safe from hot/warm drinks. And as for the 4th group of people, time a get a stainless steel water bottle soon!

Plastics are categorized into 7 grades:

Go and read more on the web because it’s too much for me to write everything.

We are commonly using <1> (mineral water bottles) and <7> (reusable sports water bottle). I guess most of us already knew that mineral water bottles are not safe to reuse so I’m not talking about it, but perhaps more on <7>.

In my secondary school days, Nike came out with a sports water bottle which looks like this:

Squeeze here and there very fun eh? But did you realize that the water taste and smell a bit funny when you left it out in the sun while you are doing your sports? Not only that, but it apply to other reusable sports water bottles too. How can the water where you refilled from which has no taste and smell turn into a funny weird liquid? From personal experience, this happened to me and i only realize until today. (Yes I’m damn cock I know.)

So what’s safe and what’s not? The answer is, the 3rd group of people that I talked about earlier on.

Stainless steel water bottles.

Google/yahoo for safe water bottles, and you will see almost all of it is made of stainless stain materials. Good for keeping cold and hot water, and even if expose to direct sunlight the taste and smell won’t change. Though it will turn unpleasant to sight if it’s drop tonnes of time, but between safe and ugly, which one would you choose?

Some people might ask: “Are there really no safe reusable sports water bottle?”. Well, there is one though.

Kor One Hydration Vessel

Though it’s a <7> water bottle, but it’s BPA (Bisphenol A) free, something which other <7> water bottles doesn’t have. $45 for one, rofl. (Fyi, Tony Stark uses it in Iron Man 2 Movie)

I’m gonna get a Klean Kanteen one soon. at least it’s cheaper (<$30) then Kor One.

First milestone

First time ever that the Tekong POP happen in Singapore mainland. It’s one hell of an epic event, and i personally had not been to one because I am not PES A or B. (FYI, only PES A and B recruits get such pride and POP)

Passing out from recruit is just the first milestone into our NS life, and there are many more to go. Congrats on being able to pass out smoothly, because it is not an easy task to do it.

Friends forever.

Oh btw, I found this song recently on the youtube, titled “Every Singaporean Son”

For every Singaporean son,
Must serve his term until he’s done.
And every single breath he takes,
Comes a bond which cannot break

Suck thumb, guys! =)
