hectic day

I was out all day long, and the weather kept changing from morning to afternoon and  evening. Rain and shine, it’s causing me minor headaches at some point of time. The only resting time was our lunch/dinner time, and our trip back to Simei.

Bboying lesson was quite tough for me, reason being that i still can’t do a proper chair yet. Somehow i injured my right thumb which gives me a lot of pain when doing footwork. I don’t know why but my condition today was really bad for classes.

I’ve been walking for the whole day and my legs are gonna to give way if i don’t rest.

School starting tomorrow for RP students, and also the starting of my exciting working days.

Comex 2008 rush

Yes, i went back to Comex just to recontract my broadband. It ended up me going there just to make a call to singnet HQ and speak to a staff there. The plus point of me going down is that i receive some free gifts compared to calling from home.

The crowd was seriously insane, and on the way back we got stuck by the slow moving human traffic at the enterance. The security guards can do nothing, even though he put up a notice saying ‘Due to the overwhelming response at Comex 2008, please return in an hour“.

I went balling today, and i don’t know is it the weather or myself that i’m playing quite bad today.  My shoes soles doesn’t work very well with the court and i don’t dare to try the typical moves i did always. Pretty sucky.

Tml breaking lesson @ Natasha Dance Studio, and RSAF airshow next.

Fun ended

So the chalet ended with a 5 pax bbq. Although the group was small but main thing is to have fun, and we did. The 3 nights was fun, especially on the last night. Blame it that i’ve work on the 2 following days, so i decided to skip work on Friday so that i can sleep late on Thursday night. We did nothing but watch movies till we drop. One thing missing from the chalet was liquor, damn.

Deprive of sleep, but still we went down to comex. I actually eye on 2 mp3 players, iPod Touch and Samsung P2.

Now i know why so many people dream to have it so much. It’s not the typical iPod with the turning thingy and it’s fully touch screen + Wifi.

But still, i support Samsung, and i regretted for buying my Samsung S5from the last IT show when my fren recommend me P2 instead. Just a couple of dollars more, but i’ll get the touch screen interface.

S5:

P2:

I actually choosen speakers over touch screen, crap.

Alright, i’m going down again tml to recontract my broadband plan. Waste of time

My days are numbered

My days of freedom and happiness are numbered before i get enlisted. Crap Right after Jason and Mk go in, it’s left with me n Kk. Crap x2

But it’s not a bad thing to go in, and at least those who went in June are going to POP soon. It’s really saddening to see all your friends going in one by one, and you have lost your cliques of the same age. Sad stuffs should nt be discuss further

We booked a chalet, 4days 3 nights with the mindset of “Book for fun”. The first night ended up with only me Jason and Mk sleeping over, and we were deciding to have a mini bbq on thurs nite, meant for a few of us to catch up with some friends we intended to invite over.

Looking forward to tonight’s hiphop lesson and something else.

When a boss makes a mistake, it’s a new idea.
When an employee makes a mistake, it’s a mistake.

Bboy lesson 4

So today marks the end of Olympics 2008, as well as the end of boring live broadcast of Olympics games which spoils every household’s favorite TV programmes. Too bad i wasn’t at home to catch the closing ceremony, especially the fireworks which most of my friends claim to be spectacular. Next Olympics in London 2012, and i wonder if their publicity and preparation would be better than the Chinese or not.

Today’s lesson was slightly slack, with not much freezes to do. It’s all about toprock, and i learn a new move called the thousand steps, because basically you can go on and on like no others’ business. Instructor gave me tip on how to train my upper body, since he told me that i look like ‘built’ for a bboy. A new way of doing push ups, not the typical way by lifting your upper body and with your legs on the ground.

Imagine you are kneeling on the ground, put your hands beside you legs and move in front a little bit. Try to bend your body to thee front as much as possible, and from that position do push ups. Your whole body will be lifted. I’m nt sure if you guys can understand and picture the position and move in your head, and i will take a pic or 2 when i hv the time to do so.

Kudos

Tired

I just realize that i din practice much on doing chair, and tomorrow is the bboying lesson, crap. It’s not i din practice, but i can’t seems to learn from that position, and i don’t know why. Pretty weak =x

OT today was pretty bad, the fact that it rained and i had a hard time getting a cab. Other than that, it was quite relaxing at Deyi Secondary. I get to enjoy the aircon, sitting down listening to the teachers preaching to the parents and students.

CSC team are up, and i decided to have a change in jersey no since i’ve been getting 14 for like 3 years? Gosh. I need to start training more.

Rexaz Sentosa outing!

Weather wasn’t good the whole day, and our dear grandfather sun came out and disapper quite often so i’ve got realy wierd and funny burns and tans on my body. It was cloudy most of the time, with freqent drizzling + heavy drizzling which din stop us from playing volleyball and doing all kinds of lame stuffs.

Dinner was at Bedok interchange, because the girls wanted to eat ban li. I will upload the photo asap. The girls claim that only Bedok has it, so the rest of girls got contracted with the ban li virus and came to Bedok. It’s a kind of dessert which uses half of a watermelon + longan + mango + suger syrup+ nata de coco. Mind you it cost $5 for 1. There are smaller ones serve in normal small bowls, but the feeling is totally different from eating off the watermelon.

I’ve gotten this shit of recruiting players for this year’s inter-constituacy games 2008. Pretty crappy because the ex captain went back to Shanghai and i was approached by the CC management to setting this. Fortunately this year i manage to find enough players, and the CC requested us for participation only. I believe that we won’t take it so lightly, and hopefully we can do well this year and if possible, better than last year’s.

Boring day

Widiah came back RP to study her uni stuffs, and we had a great chat + gathering with other temp staffs from other department during lunch. Looking back, we were extremely good with each other, together with some other council members and Clinston, Pengkee and some people which i can’t rmb.

Good time doesn’t last long, and i quite treasure these catching up session, hoping to have more of this again.

Tomorrow taking off + going Sentosa with the cheerleaders. As much as i can rmb that the juniors wanted more of outing and bonding activities, i plan this outing for them, hopefully everything goes well + good weather. OT on Saturday and please please, someone bring sun tan lotion so that i won’t become a cooked lobster!

Anyway, i found this interesting stuff from the internet, extracted from http://www.redsports.sg

Singapore is number one at the Beijing Olympics…in incentive money offered

August 20, 2008

What is the value of a gold medal? It depends on where you live.

If there was a medal for the country that promised the most money for a gold medal, Singapore would win. If Michael Phelps were a Singaporean, he would have gone home with 5.75 million Singapore dollars or about 4 million US dollars.

Here is a list of countries which have promised monetary incentives for gold medals (all in US dollars):
Singapore – US$708,800 (equivalent to SGD 1 million. The SNOC also promised $1.5miillion for a team gold.)

Obviously promising folks money is one thing. Whether they will still represent you is another. If it was just money alone, Michael Phelps would be at the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) tomorrow applying for a passport.

I wonder if he would qualify.

Conversation between ICA and Michael Phelps.

ICA: Name?
Phelps: Phelps. Michael Phelps.
ICA: Sound familiar leh. What you do, ah?
Phelps: Swim.
ICA: You want to apply for citizenship just because you can SWIM?
Phelps: Er…yes. I swim quite fast.
ICA: I also can swim. My breaststroke damn power. You can swim what stroke?
Phelps: Er…all the strokes.
ICA: Eh, you quite show-off type, hor. What else have you been doing?
Phelps: I just eat, sleep and swim. Have been doing so for the last four years.
ICA: Wah! Very shiok, like that! We don’t accept lazy people like you. Eat, sleep and swim only. I also can do. But, very important, let me ask you: CAN YOU PLAY PING-PONG?

Hiphop lesson 1

I thought there will be more guys than girls but i’m wrong. There was like only 5 guys, and about 9 – 11 girls? After today i realise hiphop is not that easy, not for people that are really stiff with their body. I had problem starting out too, especially the warming up. Man, it was like going to break your bones. Super uber stretch to make sure your are all relax. But i don’t feel that, which was pretty crap when we were learning steps.

I need a Adidas pants for my hiphop and bboying lesson

bboying lesson 3.

Today’s lesson covered 3 steps, 4 steps, and chair. The only part that I’m stuck was chair, and the steps i could do without any problem. Today again ended up with injuries at wrist and arm, thanks to chair. Hopefully i can do it before next lesson.

Malaysia trip confirmed, 8,9,10 and 11 of Sept. Gonna have a huge spending spree since it’s my first oversea trip. Hope everything goes well and safe, or at least I’m still able to return to Sg and army.

I’m quite restless nowadays.
